Chemical Emergency Information for First Responders --  from the federal Centers for Disease Control.

Chemical Hazards Emergency Medical Management (CHEMM) --  from the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, CHEMM aims to "... enable first responders, first receivers, other healthcare workers, and planners to plan for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of mass-casualty incidents involving chemicals..."  its goals also include provision of "...a comprehensive, user-friendly, web-based resource that is also downloadable in advance so that it would be available during an event if the internet is not accessible..." 

Emergency Access Initiative (EAI) --  The Emergency Access Initiative "...is a partnership of the National Library of Medicine, the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, and the Professional/Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers and other publishers. EAI provides temporary free access to full text articles from major biomedicine titles to healthcare professionals, librarians, and the public affected by disasters....this site is active only when a disaster event is named and the access period specified."

Emergency Response Safety and Health Database --  from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the ERSH-DB offers "...information on high-priority chemical biological and radiological agents that could be encountered by personnel responding to a terrorist event."   

EMS and Disaster Preparedness --  from the American College of Emergency Physicians. 

Hospitals, Stroke Centers, STEMI and PCI Centers  --  from the NJ Office of Emergency Medical Services.

Mass Casualty Information for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Providers --  from ACEP (American College of Emergency Physicians) with links from the federal Centers for Disease Control.

Natural Disasters --  from the federal Centers for Disease Control and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).  See the specific links for first responder information re: earthquakes, extreme heat, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, wildfires.

New Jersey Medical Reserve Corps --  this group is comprised of licensed and certified NJ health care professionals and community health members who volunteer to serve the citizens of New Jersey in the event of a public health emergency.

Radiation Emergencies: Information for First Responders --  includes information about personal protective equipment, decontamination of patients, medical management/triage, patient transport.

The Emergency System for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals (ESAR-VHP) -- due to the "...significant problems associated with registering and verifying the credentials of health professional volunteers immediately following major disasters or emergencies, ESAR-VHP is a federal program "...created to support states and territories in establishing standardized volunteer registration programs for disasters and public health and medical emergencies."

WISER --  from the U.S. National Library of Medicine, Wireless Information System for Emergency Responders (WISER) "...is a system designed to assist emergency responders in hazardous material incidents. WISER provides a wide range of information on hazardous substances, including substance identification support, physical characteristics, human health information, and containment and suppression advice."  It is available for download "...as a standalone application on Microsoft Windows PCs, Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, Google Android devices, and BlackBerry devices."
