Citation and Style Guides: Other Citation Builders

Zotero and TypeCite

The Union College Libraries are committed to providing quality services and resources in support of the College's students, faculty and staff.

We are exploring two new options in citation generators, TypeCite and Zotero, and would appreciate your feedback.

After investigating the resources please click this link to take the survey.  It will help the College Libraries assess how we may improve upon meeting your citation needs and those needs in your students.

This survey is voluntary and should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for your participation!

Zotero is a "free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, annotate, cite, and share research." - Zotero.org

TypeCite is a free citation generator.  It can create citations in MLA, APA, and Harvard styles.

Both tools can generate in-text citations for you.  Zotero guides you through the citation process, by having you input all of the source information, whereas TypeCite allows you to choose citations from their database by entering the title, author, ISBN/ISSN, web address, and even keywords.  If a source is not in their database, the tool will give you the option to cite manually.
