TEAS Test : English and Language Usage

About the English and Language Usage Test

Each subject category in the TEAS Test has a separate time limit. The English and Language Usage section is 34 minutes, and is comprised of 30 questions that cover three areas: standard written English, language and the writing process, and vocabulary.

Texas State Technical College Librarian Amanda Suiters has developed an outstanding TEAS research guide. The following is her work and is used with permission.

Click here to see tabs for:

  • Vocabulary acquisition
  • Knowledge of language
  • Conventions of standard English

The tabs contain: review videos, websites, and practice problems on vocabulary, grammar, context, and sentence structure, flashcards to help study, and practice tests based on the types of questions you will see on the actual test.
