TEAS Test : Reading

About the Reading Test

Each subject category in the TEAS Test has a separate time limit. The Reading section is 55 minutes, and is comprised of 45 questions that cover three areas:

  1. Main ideas and supporting information--  i.e., key ideas and details
  2. Passage organization--  i.e., craft and structure
  3. Synthesis of information--  i.e., integration of knowledge and ideas

Texas State Technical College Librarian Amanda Suiters has developed an outstanding TEAS research guide. The following is her work and is used with permission.

Click here to see tabs for:

  • Key Ideas and Details
  • Craft and Structure
  • Integration of Knowledge and Ideas

The tabs contain review videos and websites that have key skills and information, practice problems with single reading passages, flashcards to help study, and practice tests based on the types of questions you'll see on the test.
