Open and free textbooks for use in community college courses arranged by subjects. "Most of the textbooks on this list have Creative Commons (CC) open licenses or GNU-Free Document License. Others are U.S. government documents in the public domain (PD). Many other textbooks are free to view online but are NOT OPEN for reuse and customization. "

MERLOT is a repository for OER (Open Educational Resource) teaching and learning materials maintained by California State University. The collection is searchable and contains 19 material types (tutorials, assessments, simulations, quizzes, e-portfolios, etc) covering 7 major disciplines as well as academic support and work-force development resources.
