You might search using the word HISTORY together with a topical subject heading (such as the word REVOLUTION or the word RENAISSANCE).

For better results, use the drop down arrow to change KEYWORD to SUBJECT.

Or, you might want to search the word HISTORIOGRAPHY as a SUBJECT. Historiography (a branch of learning) may be combined with the name of a region, country, city, etc., individual corporate bodies, uniform titles of sacred works and treaties, or classes of persons, ethnic groups, individual wars, ortopical subjects, e.g. Art--Historiography; Bible--Historiography; Catholic Church--Historiography; United States--Historiography; United States--History--Civil War, 1861-1865--Historiograpy
