There's nothing wrong with staring with a general encyclopedia, such as Britannica, Americana, or Worldbook. Britannica is available in print or online at Union County College Libraries.
The quick way to find additional reference book articles is to go to Reference Universe. It will show you ALL the reference books in Union County College Libraries that have articles about the country you are interested in, and it will provide the call numbers and page numbers you need to find the articles.

Find the SUBJECT HEADING!
Fortunately, that's easy for most countries. Simply type the name of the country in the search box and change the field to SUBJECT.
